GSDM employees honored at Service Recognition Luncheon

Fifteen Henry M. Goldman School of Dental Medicine employees were recognized for their service to the School and the University during the University’s annual Service Recognition Luncheon on Tuesday, March 19, 2019.

The luncheon was held at Metcalf Hall in the George Sherman Union on Boston University’s Charles River Campus and honored employees who had reached major milestones in their careers at Boston University. Nine GSDM staff or faculty were recognized for 10 years of employment while six GSDM staff or faculty were recognized for 25 years of employment.

“On behalf of the entire Henry M. Goldman School of Dental Medicine, I’d like to thank the employees celebrating 10 and 25 years of service,” said Dean Jeffrey W. Hutter. “Your hard work and dedication to the GSDM community are much appreciated.”

The following employees were recognized for 10 years of service: Trang Rolles, Assistant Director of General Dentistry—Mirela Ilia, Dental Assistant, Dental Health Center—Dr. Khiem Pham-Nguyen, Clinical Assistant Professor of Orthodontics & Dentofacial Orthopedics—Dr. Maria Cancado, Clinical Assistant Professor of General Dentistry and Group Practice Leader, Predoctoral Patient Treatment Center—Dr. Paul Geltman, Associate Professor of Health Policy & Health Services Research—Patrice Freeman-Lau, Director, Staff Administration & Operations, Office of the Dean, Lizzette Maisonet, Surgical Assistant, Department of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery—Dr. Monica Alcade Acosta, Clinical Instructor of General Dentistry, Dental Health Center—and Dr. Martin Ugarte-Chavez, Clinical Instructor of Health Policy & Health Services Research.

The following employees were recognized for 25 years of service: Dr. Steven Roberts, Clinical Associate Professor of General Dentistry and Group Practice Leader, Predoctoral Patient Treatment Center—Gerard Dorato, Senior Dental Technician, Department of General Dentistry—Dr. Steven Mollica, Clinical Assistant Professor of General Dentistry—Dr. Russell Giordano, Associate Professor of Restorative Sciences & Biomaterials, Director of Biomaterials Research, and Associate Professor in Materials Science and Engineering, College of Engineering—Dr. Bruce Robinson, Clinical Assistant Professor of General Dentistry—and Paula Linskey, Manager, Dental Supply Store.
