Periodontics Alumni Reception Held in San Diego

Nearly 40 alumni, some going back to the class of 1966, attended the Periodontics Alumni Reception during the AAP Annual Meeting in San Diego, California. Dean Jeffrey W. Hutter gave the opening remarks, then was followed by Chair and Professor and Chair of the Department of Periodontology and Director of the Advanced Specialty Education Program in Periodontics, Dr. Serge Dibart. Dr. Dibart highlighted how the Periodontics department has grown over the years, including conducting more research that is clinically focused and has been presented at various meetings (AAP, AADR/IADR), the successful implantology fellowships, and the implementation of Digital Dentistry.  Dean Hutter ended his remarks by emphasizing that the next AAP meeting will be in Boston and we hope to see everyone there!
