Study from GSDM Department of Molecular and Cell Biology Selected Paper of the Week by JBC

A recent study from the Center for Exocrine Disorders in the Department of Molecular and Cell Biology at Boston University Henry M. Goldman School of Dental Medicine (GSDM) was highlighted in The Journal of Biological Chemistry (JBC) as the Journal’s paper of the week.
The article was authored by Dr. Zsanett Jancso, Post-Doctoral Associate in the Department of Molecular & Cell Biology and Miklos Sahin-Toth, Professor in the Department of Molecular & Cell Biology and Director of the Center for Exocrine Disorders.
Titled “Tighter control by chymotrypsin C (CTRC) explains lack of association between human anionic trypsinogen and hereditary pancreatitis,” the study sheds light on the puzzling question of why mutations in cationic trypsinogen, but not in anionic trypsinogen, cause pancreatitis.
