SNDA Kicks off 2014 Planning for Abundant Spring Events

On January 27, 2014, the Boston University chapter of the Student National Dental Association (SNDA) held their first meeting of the spring semester in G-301. During the meeting, students from each year collaborated and planned for upcoming events.

The first SDNA event of the semester, Impressions Day, will be held on March 1. Impressions is a national event organized and sponsored by most SNDA chapters across the country. The day offers undergraduate students a preview of life as a dental student. Students will get a tour of the school, experience mock interviews, and create an alginate impression.

SNDA’s second event is the student/faculty basketball game, one of the chapter’s most exciting fundraisers. Eleven students will be matched up against BU faculty on the South End Fitness court for a spirited game of basketball.

SNDA will also present an HIV/AIDS and Dentistry Lecture to promote Oral Health and AIDS awareness. Boston University faculty and a guest speaker will lead a discussion and question and answer panel at the lecture.

The BU SNDA Executive Board members are Ryan Pasiewicz DMD 15, President; Daniella Rizzo DMD 16, Vice President; Alyssa Mazzoli DMD 16, Community Service Coordinator; Luri Lee DMD 16, Secretary; and Michael Lee DMD 15, Treasurer.
