Department Introductions for New Post-doctoral Students at Orientation Lunch

On July 2, 2013—during a busy week of post-doctoral orientation activities—incoming Boston University Henry M. Goldman School of Dental Medicine (GSDM) advanced education students/residents enjoyed a lunch in Hiebert Lounge hosted by Associate Dean for Academic Affairs Dr. Cataldo Leone and Assistant Dean of Students Dr. Joseph Calabrese. The lunch was sponsored by the Massachusetts Dental Society. MDS Coordinator of District Affairs and Student Events Lisa Davis attended and distributed welcome gifts to the students.
GSDM department chairs, program directors, faculty, and staff were present to welcome and introduce themselves to the post-doctoral students/residents. The incoming students were seated with their respective department and program colleagues to facilitate their introductions.
Dean Jeffrey W. Hutter addressed the gathering of students, faculty, and staff. He welcomed the students, congratulated them on their acceptance to the Henry M. Goldman School of Dental Medicine, and wished them the best of success as they moved forward in their educational careers.
In turn, each of the department chairs stood to introduce themselves and their department to the new advanced education students.
Dr. Leone said, “The luncheon provided an excellent occasion for new post-doctoral students/residents to get to know each other and our faculty. It also allowed us the opportunity to thank our newest classes for choosing GSDM.”
