Orientation Starts Off on a Sweet Note with its Annual Ice Cream Social

The GSDM orientation began on a sweet note, with the School’s well-loved Ice Cream Social. For the second year in a row, BU’s mascot Rhett joined the fun, with many students just as eager to meet him as they were to have ice cream.

Alums Craig Allen and Nicole Paquette-Allen, both DMD 95, funded the Ice Cream Social, as they have generously done for six consecutive years. Dr. Craig Allen was in attendance at the event. Also present was his niece, Jennifer Allen DMD 14, who follows in the footsteps of her aunt and uncle as a GSDM student. Nicole’s brother, David Paquette, is also a GSDM alum, DMD 98.

As they enjoyed their ice cream, students received their first official BU Dental tee shirts and information from numerous resources, including Zipcar, TranSComm, several U.S. military organizations, and many student groups.
