George Huang Joins StemSave Scientific Advisory Council

Herbert Schilder Professor in Endodontics and Director of the Postdoctoral Program in Endodontics Dr. George Huang joined the StemSave Scientific Advisory Council at the beginning of this year.

StemSave is a company that provides families, individuals, and stem cell researchers with a methodology for the recovery and cryopreservation of adult stem cells residing in baby teeth, wisdom teeth, permanent teeth, and other oral tissues for future use.

“I support StemSave’s idea of banking stem cells,” said Dr. Huang. “In my opinion this is the future of medicine. Stem cells can be used to regenerate tissues and treat diseases. So it is only natural that we begin banking our own stem cells at a young age in order to use them for the future, when there is a need.”

StemSave’s Scientific Advisory Board includes leading human stem cell researchers from major universities and serves to closely monitor the latest discoveries in stem cell research and how they relate to stem cells found in teeth.

Dr. Huang will serve on the Advisory Council for an unspecified amount of time.
