Welcome, Dr. Sundararajan

Boston University Henry M. Goldman School of Dental Medicine (GSDM) Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Pathology welcomed Dr. Devaki Sundararajan to the role of Assistant Professor on Wednesday, July 1.
Dr. Sundararajan has a BDS from The Tamilnadu Dr. M.G.R. Medical University in Chennai, India and in May 2009, she completed a Certificate of Advanced Graduate Study (CAGS) in Oral and Maxillofacial Pathology at GSDM.
After completing her BDS degree, Dr. Sundararajan worked as a dentist in India from 1994 to 1999. In 2001, she began work in the United States as a research assistant in the Dental Research Center at the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey (UMDNJ), where she focused on the role of human salivary amylase on dental caries. From 2002 to 2005, she worked as a dental assistant at Smile Dental Office in Irvington, New Jersey, and from 2005 to 2006 she volunteered as a research assistant at UMDNJ, this time focusing on biofilm growth and detachment of an oral pathogen.
