Dr. Leslie Anne Will appointed as the Anthony A. Gianelly Chair in Orthodontics & Dentofacial Orthopedics and Director of the Postdoctoral Program in Orthodontics at Boston University Henry M. Goldman School of Dental Medicine

(Boston) – Dean Jeffrey W. Hutter announced today that Dr. Leslie Anne Will has accepted an appointment as the Anthony A. Gianelly Chair in Orthodontics & Dentofacial Orthopedics and Director of the Postdoctoral Program in Orthodontics at Boston University Henry M. Goldman School of Dental Medicine (GSDM). Dr. Will plans to assume her duties on August 1, 2009.
Dr. Will holds a BS from the University of Wisconsin, a DMD from Harvard University School of Dental Medicine, and a MSD and Certificate in Orthodontics from the University of Washington. She is a Diplomate of the American Board of Orthodontics.
Dr. Will began her academic career as an Assistant Professor at Loyola University at both the Dental School and the Stritch School of Medicine. She then served as Clinical Associate at the Pritzker School of Medicine at the University of Chicago and then Clinical Associate Professor at the College of Dentistry at the University of Illinois. At Harvard University School of Dental Medicine she served as Associate Professor, Program Director of Orthodontics, Chair of the Department of Growth and Development, and finally, as Associate Chair of the Department of Developmental Biology. She currently serves as an Adjunct Associate at the University of Pennsylvania and as Professor and Graduate Program Director at Tufts University School of Dental Medicine. In addition, she holds an appointment at Massachusetts General Hospital.
Dr. Will is a member of the American Cleft Palate-Craniofacial Association, the International Association of Dental Research, the American Association of Orthodontists, the Northeast Society of Orthodontists and is an American Board of Orthodontists Examiner. Dr. Will serves on six editorial boards and she is the author of 28 peer reviewed articles and book chapters. She lectures nationally and internationally.
