Dr. Mark Ferriero Manages AGD Course on Mouthguard Fabrication

The Academy of General Dentistry (AGD) has selected Dr. Mark Ferriero, clinical associate professor in the Department of General Dentistry, to manage a course at the organization’s annual meeting in San Diego, California, later this month.
As course manager, Ferriero’s responsibilities include confirming all course logistics and opening and closing the session.
Dr. Ray Padilla will teach the hands-on course, "Fabrication of Custom-made Pressure Laminated Mouthguards," June 29. Attendees, along with Ferriero, will follow Padilla’s new technique to create mouthguards to protect against tooth grinding, wear, and trauma.
Ferriero has directed the school’s preclinical occlusion course for the past six years. He received a mastership degree from the Academy of General Dentistry last August.
