DMD Student Delivers Donations to Vietnamese Orphanage

While most students in the DMD 07 class are anxiously awaiting graduation, Anhphi Nguyen is busy preparing for a different kind of departure.

Just two days after commencement (May 22), Nguyen will visit the children of Chua Linh Son temple in Vietnam to deliver $3,000 raised by Boston University Vietnamese Student Dental Association (BUVSDA) at the December 9, 2006 fundraising concert Dem Uoc Vong. The money will go towards buying beds, school supplies, and food for the orphans and children with disabilities who live at the Sai Gon City temple.

BUVSDA knows the donation will make a big difference. Just 50 cents buys a Vietnamese child a meal, explained BUVSDA member Cindy Tran DMD 10 in the December 8 issue of Outlook This Week.

Anyone interested in making a donation to BUVSDA’s cause may contact Anhphi Nguyen for more information.
