Held Expands Role with Project Stretch

Project Stretch, a non-profit group providing dental services to underserved children around the world, this month elected Kathy Held, assistant professor of general dentistry and assistant director of extramural programs, to its Board of Directors.

Held has volunteered for missions with Project Stretch and has helped raise funds for ongoing outreach activities. She is a member of Stretch’s Committee to Develop Educational Protocols and will be working on the educational component of future missions. Held also will help plan Project Stretch’s missions early next year to Nicaragua, Mexico, and Cape Verde.
