Hoyoung Kim

Hello, this is Hoyoung Kim, a postdoctoral fellow in Prof. Wen Li’s lab at Boston University.
Over the course of my Ph.D. and postdoc career, my research interests have developed in the areas of plasma physics, simulation, electromagnetics, machine learning, and parallel computing. So far, my research has been applied to multiple applications, including nonlinear interactions between Whistler mode waves and energetic electrons in the Earth’s radiation belts, dynamic plasma antennas, and non-destructive images through conductive enclosures. My future research plan is to focus primarily on developing space plasma simulations such as Particle In Cell, fluid, hybrid, and global simulations.
