Chi Zhang

Postdoctoral Associate

Dr Zhang is currently a Postdoctoral Associate at Center for Space Physics & Department of Astronomy in Boston University. He obtained his Bachelor’s degree from China University of Geosciences (Wuhan) in 2018, and PhD degree in space physics at University of Chinese Academy of Sciences in 2023. His research interest includes the ion dynamics at Mars and analyzing magnetic fields and particle data to study the planetary magnetospheres.

Research Interests: Magnetic field structure in Earth and Mars’s magnetosphere. Ion dynamics at Mars.

Current works:
• Study the magnetic fields and ion dynamics using the MAVEN measurements
• Study the ion escape at Mars and its relationship to the solar wind.
