CILSE – Construction Activity – Week of 5/8/16
On the Commonwealth Avenue side of the building, the team will continue replacing some of the glass units. Air and vapor barrier installation will continue on the Cummington Mall side, as well as the installation of window frames. On the Morse Auditorium side, there will be framing and sheathing from the swing staging, and the team will begin the installation of the air and vapor barrier from the mast climber.
CILSE – Construction Activity – Week of 5/1/16
On the Commonwealth Avenue side of the building, the project team will be replacing some of the glass units starting next week. There will be welding for the exterior wall system on the College of Communications side.
Myles Standish Hall – Construction Activity – Week of 5/1/16
Work taking place this week will not make any noise so as not to disturb the students during finals week. Work will begin at 7 a.m. and deliveries to the site will start at 8 a.m.

CILSE – Construction Activity – Week of 4/24/16
Exterior curtain wall is substantially complete on the Commonwealth Avenue side of the building, with some minor adjustments required. Curtain wall installation on the College of Communications side will continue on the 8th floor. Air and vapor barrier installation will continue on the Cummington Mall side, as well as installation of window frames and welding clips for the curtain wall.
CILSE – Construction Activity – Week of 4/17/16
The project site will be closed on Monday, April 18 due to the Patriots’ Day holiday.
Exterior curtain wall is substantially complete on the north elevation, with some minor adjustments required. Curtain wall installation on the west elevation continues with installation on the 6th floor taking place next week.
CILSE – Construction Activity – Week of 4/10/16
Exterior curtain wall work will continue on the west elevation on floors 4 and 5 and on the north elevation on floor 9. Exterior wall framing and sheathing will continue on the east elevation, and swing staging work will begin on the south elevation.
Plans Unveiled for New Theater Facility on Comm Ave
Initial concepts for a new 250-seat studio theater and production spaces, showing a modern, steel-beamed, glass-filled space, set back from the street in the 820-846 area of Commonwealth Avenue, were received positively by the Brookline Planning Board when they were unveiled at a March 10 meeting.
