BugTraq

The BugTraq mailing list is one of the foremost security resources on the Internet. Security problems are announced and discussed in detail. Subscribe by e-mailing listserv@securityfocus.com with a message body of "SUBSCRIBE BUGTRAQ Lastname, Firstname". You may also want to look through the archives.

Security Focus

The people who host BugTraq have a lot of other good info too, including good Linux coverage in their Unix area. Make sure to check out the vulnerabilities database.

CERT/CC Current Activity

In some ways, the most official security site there is. On the other hand, they're sometimes slow to release information. Your milage may vary.

Packet Storm

Would-be intruders have this information. You should too.
