CAS has employed their own Deputy Title IX and DEI Outreach Coordinator, Danielle Kane (she/her/hers). Certified in Title IX education by the Assocation of Title IX Administrators (ATIXA), she is tasked with educating, consulting, and supporting CAS students, staff, and faculty on all matters pertaining to BU’s Sexual Misconduct Policy & Title IX. Danielle is a resource who coordinates and supervises all reporting, reasonable accommodation, training, and compliance needs for the College of Arts & Sciences under Title IX and Violence Against Womens Act (VAWA). She works closely with the Universities Equal Opportunity Office (EOO) and Sexual Assault Response Prevention Center (SARP). Danielle also co-runs the CAS Staff Institute with Dean of Diversity & Inclusion, Vincent Stephens.
Danielle obtained a BA in Educational Studies with a core concentration in Gender & Sexuality Studies from Roger Williams University and a MA in Clinical Rehabilitation Mental Health Counseling with a holistic focus. She applies her knowledge of education, holistic conflict resolution, mental health, inclusion, and Title IX to provide experiences that allow individuals to live fully integrated lives. In her free time, Danielle enjoys sunset walks with her dog, Charles Barkley, and taking care of her house plants and garden.
