Professor Emerita of American Art and African American Art (History of Art & Architecture) Patricia Hills is the founder and director of the virtual Eastman Johnson Catalogue Raisonné, which the National Academy of Design launched this summer. As well, Abigael MacGibeny (GRS’13) serves as project manager on the project, which is the culmination of Patricia’s decades-long research on Johnson’s artwork, which dates to the 1972 monographic exhibition of his work at the Whitney Museum of American Art. You can view the virtual catalog on the Academy’s website.
