Associate Professor of Psychological & Brain Sciences Steve Ramirez’s new book, How to Change a Memory, explores memory manipulation: how scientists find the cells that encode memories and rewire our recollection of the past. A blend of neuroscience and Ramirez’s experience on the frontline of cutting-edge research, How to Change a Memory offers insight into “the human side of science.”

“Writing this book was one of the hardest and most rewarding projects I’ve taken on,” said Ramirez (CAS’10). “I’m most excited about the possibility of connecting with people on a very human level and showing that memory neuroscience isn’t just about neurons firing in the lab—it’s about how those neurons shape the very fabric of our lives.”

How to Change a Memory is available for pre-order and will be released on Nov. 4th.
