  • Department Information

  • The name above should be the contact during Commencement Weekend. If you are the Commencement Coordinator and will not be on campus for the actual event, please list the person who will be filling in for you during the weekend.
  • This will be the number the Office of Student Programs & Leadership and Events & Conferences keeps on file should we need to contact you during Commencement Weekend. This number should be the cell phone number of the person listed above.
  • Convocation Needs

  • Please list the # of sheets of BU insignia stationary your department will need if you choose to print convocation programs
  • Please list the # of sheets of blank stationary your department will need if you choose to print convocation programs
  • This should be the total possible number of UNDERGRADUATE students who may attend your convocation ceremony. This number should include all January, May, and September 2025 graduates. This is how CAS will determine your catering enhancement budget.
  • This should be the total possible number of non-PhD graduate students who may attend your convocation ceremony. This number should include all January, May, and September 2025 graduates. This number plus your BA grads will determine how many RED FOLDERS you will receive.
  • Departmental Honors / Honors in the Major

  • This is the estimated number of students who will receive honors in the major (often those who completed a senior thesis but the qualifications vary by department- this is NOT Latin Honors)
  • College Prize

    The College Prize will be awarded to one graduating senior from each academic department at the Dean’s Awards and Recognition Ceremony on Friday, May 16th at 2pm in Tsai Performance Center .
  • Award criteria: Strong academic credentials, as demonstrated through the classroom, laboratory, or in the field. Participation and, ideally, leadership with student organizations within the department, College, or University. Support of fellow students through peer education and/or tutoring. Outreach for the department through events such as open house. Must be a 2025 graduate with a major in your department.
  • Please provide a max of 250 words about why this student was selected as your department's College Prize winner. THIS WILL BE READ ALOUD DURING THE CEREMONY.
  • If you know, please share any guest speakers who will be presenting at your event.
