The workshop series Conversations on Liberal Arts in the 21st Century was created in order to share best practices for tackling the challenges and opportunities facing liberal arts institutions in the decades to come. Initiated by Ann E. Cudd, Dean of Arts & Sciences at Boston University, the series will take place during the spring and fall semesters. Participating colleges in the Boston area will take turns hosting these workshops. Each workshop will address a different topic. Topics will be chosen by the hosting institution, and will focus on areas that broadly affect the liberal education endeavor. Participation is open to colleagues (faculty or staff) at participating liberal arts institutions in the Boston area who have an interest in the given topic.
