Stan Sclaroff, a 24-year veteran faculty member and internationally respected scholar, has been named the new Dean of the College and Graduate School of Arts & Sciences. He served as dean ad interim for the 2018–19 academic year. Dean Sclaroff becomes dean at an exciting time in CAS’s history, as new buildings, initiatives, and global prominence present both opportunities and challenges. He gained the support of the selection committee with his dedication to bolstering interdisciplinary research, his commitment to fostering faculty diversity, and his emphasis on a strong and broad liberal arts education. He aims to build on the progress he has made over the past year as he works collaboratively with faculty, staff, students, alumni, and supporters to move CAS into a dynamic future.
