Professor Michael Hasselmo (Psychological & Brain Sciences) and Professor Ha Jin (English and Creative Writing) have been appointed William Fairfield Warren Distinguished Professors, which is the highest honor the University bestows on faculty. Michael Hasselmo’s research takes an interdisciplinary approach to the nature of memory and brain processes, from systems neuroscience and biochemistry to cognition and behavior. Ha Jin’s work examines themes of exile, immigration, and the now ever-present global experience of movement among cultures. You can read more about their work and other Warren Professors here and on BU Today. Congratulations on this remarkable honor.
