Christina Yu Yu (GRS’04) Sees the World Through Art

| in Features, GRS

As the Matsutaro Shoriki Chair of Asian Art at the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston (MFA), history of art and architecture alum Christina Yu Yu (GRS’04) returns to a place she interned and studied at during her time at BU. Now she manages a collection of nearly 200,000 works, including 183 pieces from note collector Wan-go H. C. Weng that the artist gifted the MFA in 2018. With her role at the local institution, she is finding ways to bring new generations to the museum and showcase Asia—and the world—through her work.

You can read more about her education, how she ended up at the MFA, and how her experience and world view are shaping Boston’s art world at BU Today.
