Sargent College 10th Annual Meredith E. Drench Lecture presented by Dr. Dana Suskind

The Meredith E. Drench Lecture, Sargent College’s first endowed lecture series was established by physical therapy alumna Dr. Meredith E. Drench to share her passion and belief in the “compassionate rehabilitation” of the whole [...]person. The 2018 lecture, “Thirty Million Words: A Public Health Approach to Early Childhood Education” was delivered by Dr. Dana Suskind.



Dr. Suskind is the author of Thirty Millions Words: Building a Child’s Brain, is Co-Director of the TMW Center for Early Learning + Public Health, Professor of Surgery at the University of Chicago, Director of the Pediatric Cochlear Implant Program, and Founder and Director of the Thirty Million Words Initiative. Dr. Suskind's ultimate goal, and that of her dedicated team, is to help all children reach their full potentials and to close the ever-widening achievement gap.
