As the Class of 2017 prepares to march onto Nickerson Field to receive their degrees and certificates during Commencement, we asked members of the BU community to offer some words of wisdom—and encouragement—to the 6,568 students who will become official alumni on May 21. That advice ranged from the serious—stay idealistic, keep a journal, drive across the country—to the not-so-serious—“Your backwards baseball cap has reached its expiration date.”
