Joshua Loving Wins Award at the 2016 BICoB Conference
Josh Loving presented at the 8th International Conference on Bioinformatics and Computational Biology (BICoB) in Las Vegas earlier this month, and his paper received the award for first place. Bit-Parallel Alignment with Substitution Scoring was co-authored by Beth Becker and Prof. Gary Benson. Congratulations!

Just Published: Ali Zomorrodi, a Postdoctoral Research Associate in the Segrè lab, is the co-author of Optimization Methods in Metabolic Networks, a tutorial on the computational tools that use mathematical optimization concepts for analyzing metabolic networks.
