The BU Bioinformatics Graduate Program is hosting the 2015 International Workshop on Bioinformatics and Systems Biology from July 19-22 The IBSB, focusing almost exclusively on student research, was originally developed as a joint program by the late Professor Reinhart Heinrich (1946-2006) and Professor Andreas Hermann, both from Humboldt University in Berlin, in collaboration with Professors Charles DeLisi and Thomas Tullius at BU.  Held annually since the first workshop in Berlin in August of 2001, this exciting event now includes members of the Bioinformatics Center at the Institute for Chemical Research at Kyoto University, as well as members of the Human Genome Center at the Institute of Medical Science at the University of Tokyo, the Charité University Hospital in Berlin, the Freie University in Berlin and the Max Delbrück Center for Molecular Medicine in Berlin, in addition to the BU Bioinformatics Program and Humboldt University.
