The BU community is taking over Fenway Park as the Boston Red Sox host the Tampa Bay Rays! Make sure you arrive for a special pregame ceremony to honor the new BU President’s inauguration, featuring a performance by the BU Marching Band! Register for this event to reserve your bleacher seats in the BU section. Prior to the weekend, you will receive an email with instructions to download the MLB Ballpark app and retrieve your digital ticket. The Red Sox will not issue physical tickets.
Seats will be assigned in Section 42 Bleachers. In the event that the Red Sox postpone this game due to inclement weather, your tickets will be valid for the rescheduled game.

Saturday, September 28th, 2024, 12:00-3:00pm – Back to BU Beach Festival
12:00-3:00pm at the BU Beach (270 Bay State Rd, Boston, MA 02215) – Plan to arrive at the start of the event to hear the BU Pep Band perform!
The Back to BU Beach Festival is Alumni Weekend’s largest event and is open to all alumni. This family-friendly festival boasts a quintessential New England cookout, a packed performance stage, and a Campus Expo.
This year’s festival is catered by Woodman’s of Essex, serving up New England classics like lobster rolls and fried clams (with vegetarian and gluten-free options!). The performance lineup includes campus favorites the Dear Abbeys, Liquid Fun, Inner Strength Gospel Choir, and more—plus the BU Pep Band, alumni performers Dr. Cleopatra Knight-Wilkins (SAR’74) & Frank Wilkins, and an appearance by President-elect Melissa L. Gilliam! Don’t miss the Campus Expo highlighting schools, colleges, and programs across BU, and a Kids’ Zone with BU-themed activities and lawn games.

Saturday, September 28th, 2024, 6:00-9:00pm – BU Bands Reunion at Sunset Cantina
6:00-9:00pm at Sunset Cantina (916 Commonwealth Ave, Boston, MA 02215) – Trivia begins promptly at 7:30 if interested in participating in Trivia!
BU Bands welcomes you to an Alumni Weekend reunion! In partnership with the Taproom Trivia at Sunset Cantina Alumni Weekend event, reconnect with band mates and make new friends with early access to a designated area within Sunset Cantina and reserved seats for the Taproom Takeover at 7 pm. Appetizers will be provided. Additional food and all beverages will be available for purchase.
