All Students are allotted one personal checked bag (under plane), one carry-on (in overhead compartment), and one personal item (under seat), at no additional cost (standard baggage airline policy). Please note - if you are planning to bring MORE THAN ONE personal checked bag (not including instrument), you will be financially responsible for that extra checked bag.

In an effort to keep checked instrument (under the plane) costs down, we are encouraging you to use a carry-on instead of a checked bag, only if you can (this is NOT a requirement). The more students have carry-ons instead of checked bags, the more our instruments can be considered personal checked bags.

To reiterate, if you need to bring a checked bag of personal items because you cannot fit everything you need in a carry-on, this is absolutely fine.
