The fields of physical therapy and occupational therapy share a common goal: improving patients’ quality of life. But each approaches that field differently.

In the latest installment of our video series Compare Mode, which pairs two Terriers from related majors talking about what makes each program unique and the qualities they share, occupational therapy graduate student Karen Ma (Sargent’27) and physical therapy graduate student Megan Melkinoff (Sargent’24,’26) talk about their classes and professors, the opportunities their programs provide for hands-on, real-world experience, and the settings they might work in after graduation.
