  1. Hello: President Brown enjoyed the desserts of the main meal that brought Boston University out of medicrity to a celebratory level courtesy of President John Silber and my uncle, Henry M. (and his brother, my father who did all the fund raising)) Goldman. It was Hnery and John in a symbiosis who brought money and prestige to the Medical Center…and, as the saying goes: When the tide comes in all ships rise. Eventually, the work those two did brought money and expansion over the years to the main campus. Brown was terrific, but he was the benefactor, not the innovator. I wrote a book to celebrate my uncle. It is wonderful to see the growth and well-earned greatness that B.U. richly deserves. I grew up up the street from Boston College Law School in Newton, a time when Boston was known for only Harvard and Boston College with B.U. and Northeastern afterthoughts. Today, the education institutions in Boston sparkle with pride! Take care, and kindest regards, Robert Allyn Goldman (BA, DMD, DSc).
