There are 4 comments on What Is the Role of Universities after October 7?

  1. Bravo to CURA and CFD for resisting outside pressure to cancel but listening to students and colleagues about shifting the date. Next time it would be good to see humanities scholars also contributing to this kind of panel.

  2. Telling Jewish students that the university’s role after October 7 is the same as before October 7 is extremely hurtful and tone deaf. I am shocked to read some of these quotations in this article as it feels like the university isn’t listening to Jewish students’ pain.

  3. Inviting a former Harvard SJP president (Perlman) to an event on the anniversary of the largest massacre of Jews since the Holocaust really shows its unbiased and objective nature. Not to mention her books justify Palestinian terrorism against Israeli civilians. THIS is why antisemitism is such a big problem on our campus and infested throughout higher education across this country.

    1. What about consistent violence from anti-Arab and anti-Muslim settlers and IOF since the founding of the Zionist Israel. How is it anti-Semitic to humanize Palestinians? I don’t get it.
