Belonging & Culture Survey
The Belonging & Culture Survey is a University-wide survey open to BU students, staff, and faculty. It’s designed to gauge the sense of belonging and culture at BU, while identifying successes and areas for improvement. All survey respondents can enter to win one of more than 100 prizes, valued between $35 and $560.

Curated Cuisine: Celebrating Pi Day with “Pieometry” Author Lauren Ko
Join Lauren Ko, the New York Times best-selling author of Pieometry: Modern Tart Art and Pie Design for the Eye and the Palate for a Pi Day conversation, demonstration, and book signing at WBUR CitySpace. Ko is also known for her popular Instagram account, which features geometric shapes, bright colors, and other creative pie decorations.

Aidan’s Late Birthday: A Stand Up Apology Show

Terriers Connect: Suicide Prevention Training for Students
Terriers Connect is a two-hour, interactive training program open to members of the BU community that teaches participants how to identify signs of distress, develop communication and support skills, and provide information about referrals to mental health professionals. Participants become trained “gatekeepers” within the program.

CAS 150th Birthday Party
The College of Arts & Sciences is celebrating its 150th year with a birthday party. This free event will include music, games, live caricature drawings, free giveaways—stickers, tote bags, and Bluetooth trackers—and 314 mini pies to celebrate Pi Day. Stan Sclaroff, dean of Arts & Sciences, and several CAS students will speak at 12:20 pm.

Fifth Annual Conference on Second-Language Learning & Disabilities
This fifth annual conference, which will be held March 16 to 18, promises to help instructors “build a diverse, anti-oppressive curriculum for their world language classes that represents all our students’ differences and creates a classroom climate of tolerance and inclusion.” It will consist of workshops, presentations, and a movie screening.

How to Talk about Climate Change So People Will Listen…and Act
How do we talk about the critical issue of climate change? Join Sarah Finnie Robinson, senior fellow of the BU Institute for Global Sustainability and founding director of the 51 Percent Project (a climate communication initiative), on Zoom for a conversation about the “barriers and accelerators to collective climate action.”

Stage Troupe Presents Death of a Salesman
Stage Troupe, BU’s oldest and largest extracurricular performing arts group, presents Death of a Salesman from March 16 to 18. The play follows William “Willy” Loman, an aging salesman who is disappointed with his life. Loman’s career has never advanced and his two sons have also been unsuccessful. As his health and career decline, he struggles to find stability, all while mentally slipping between the present and past.

Friday, March 17
St. Patrick’s Day
Celebrate St. Patrick’s Day by visiting a local Irish pub, attending a Dropkick Murphys concert at MGM Music Hall at Fenway, or tuning in to watch the Celtics take on the Portland Trail Blazers. And don’t miss the annual South Boston St. Patrick’s Day Parade on Sunday, known for its bagpipes, marching bands, and military heritage.
Match Day
This is a tradition dating back 70 years: fourth-year medical students nationwide gather at their respective medical schools at noon on the third Friday of March to open the envelopes that contain their “match”—the residency program where they will continue their training for the next three or more years.

Center for Gender, Sexuality & Activism Trivia Night
The Center for Gender, Sexuality & Activism is a safe space run by students in the basement of the George Sherman Union (BU Central) that offers a variety of resources. Stop by for a fun-filled two hours of themed trivia, open to all BU students.
