Why should I go?
Celebrities descend on the Seaport this weekend for Fan Expo Boston, an event hosting thousands of visitors for three days of panels, meet and greets, and community gatherings across various fandoms. This year’s special guests include legendary Jedi Ewan McGregor, along with a Hobbits reunion featuring Elijah Wood and his costars of the Lord of the Rings trilogy. Others include Giancarlo Esposito (Breaking Bad), Kevin Smith (Jay and Silent Bob), and David Tennant (Doctor Who) alongside many more. Find the full list of guests here.
Once you’ve collected your autographs, attend a Q&A panel, walk the cosplay red carpet, or watch an artist duel. Hundreds of vendors will be present selling memorabilia, comics, DVDs, apparel, and more. Artist Alley will also be open for rising comic inkers, pencillers, and writers to showcase their work and interact with fans. In addition, the expo will feature many community gatherings for fans of Star Wars, Harry Potter, and more.
There’s plenty for everyone at this celebration of all things nerdy.
