Why should I go?
Get ready for a night of laughter at this outdoo stand-up comedy show. Comedians from Boston and beyond will take the stage to perform five- to seven-minute sets, so you’ll see plenty of comedians and various styles of humor.
As the event is outdoors (in Eastie Farm’s urban garden), it’s best to bring some bug spray and a blanket (and plan to use the bathroom before you arrive). Guests can purchase yummy “chacos” (chapati tacos) and chai provided by local eatery Tawakal Halal Cafe.
The weekly comedy event is a collaboration among Eastie Farm, East Boston Comedy, and Like 2 Laugh Stand-Up Comedy, all community-focused ventures. Eastie Farm hosts events throughout the year, along with an active summer-long CSA (community supported agriculture) program that offers shareholders fresh eggs, fruits, and vegetables, and educational programs with a focus on food access, community resilience, and climate justice. They also provide volunteer opportunities in their urban garden spaces. Like 2 Laugh Stand-Up Comedy is a nationwide organization that presents top comedians from New York, Los Angeles, Boston, and other cities at local parks, farms, bars, clubs, and other venues. East Boston Comedy is an online site that provides information about upcoming comedy events in and around East Boston.
Can’t make it tonight? No worries. Farm Fresh Stand-up Comedy at Eastie Farm is each Thursday at 7 pm through the fall.
