How to Maintain Friendships in a Pandemic
It’s hard to stay in touch with friends during a pandemic, with social distancing, crowd limitations, and masking making it so hard. Yes, Zoom helps, but let’s face it, everyone’s experiencing Zoom fatigue at this point. So how do you keep up with those close to you?
In this vlog, Brigid Kane (COM’22) tells us how she’s managed to stay close to friends over the past year, both virtually and in person—and how continuing to pursue her passion for dance has made that easier. Some of her advice: look forward to things you enjoy, do what you love, whether dance, game nights, or coffee, check in with friends—by text, calls, Zoom, email, whatever you have to do—and make it work.
She also talks with some of her friends from BU miXx K-Pop Cover Dance Crew, asking how they’ve maintained friendships over the past 12 months.
For her, Kane says, being a good friend starts with being good to yourself.
