Artist Ruth Mordecai (CFA’70,’80) showed 21 new paintings in the exhibition New Work/2020 last fall at Matthew Swift Gallery in Gloucester, Mass. Mordecai “continues to generate and employ a vocabulary of symbols evoking the promise of shared humanity and culture,” according to the gallery. “Acknowledging sources in prayer and dream, she has entitled many of the paintings simply The Sign.” Visit ruthmordecai.com.
