There is 1 comment on Video: Bike Lanes 101

  1. Just a few comments:
    1) The bright green and faded green paint is only in “caution” or traffic conflict areas.
Green for Caution??? It makes no sense, but that is the actual meaning of the green paint.
    2) The cars turning right across the bike lane (ahead of you) have the right-of-way, even if you have a green signal.
    3) The pedestrians crossing in those bike lane crosswalks also have the right-of-way, as long as they give the oncoming cyclists enough time to slow down or stop.

    Questions:
    1) Are motorized bikes, motorized scooters, motorized skateboard, etc. allowed to use the lanes?
    2) Are there official speed limits in the bike lanes? I’ve seen some cyclists travelling at very high speeds, where they would not be able to stop for any pedestrians of car traffic that are legally crossing the bike lane ahead of them.
