How Was Move-in? Three Students Vlog about Their Experience
On August 15, an estimated 7,320 students began returning to BU residence halls for the annual event known as Move-in. But everything about this year’s experience was different from years past: for one thing, it was stretched out over more than two weeks rather than the usual one to maintain the physical distancing necessary to help prevent the spread of COVID-19. Then there was the mandatory testing. And everyone was masked up.
To give our readers a firsthand account of what this year’s experience was like, we reached out to three student vloggers, Andie Lim (CAS’21), who traveled from Dublin, Ohio, Peyton Robinson (CAS’23), from Charleston, S.C., and Zowie Rico (CAS’23), from Imperial Beach, Calif., and asked them to share their personal Move-In stories.
They talk about the excitement of returning to campus, and about what made this year’s historic Move-In so different. They also share their concerns about the uncertainties that lie ahead and their determination to “make the best of the situation.”
Take a look.
