YouSpeak: Winter Survival Gear
What’s your wardrobe essential this cold (very cold), snowy (very snowy) season?
The winter of 2015 has been one for the record books in Boston. In just three weeks, the city saw a record-setting 96 inches of snow; the previous record goes back to 1978 (think infamous Blizzard of ’78), when the area got pummeled with 58.8 inches in 30 days.
To make matters worse, frigid temperatures and high winds have been a constant. For more than half of January (17 days), the mercury fell below normal, and February’s been even colder. So far this month, we’ve climbed above the average daytime high of (a balmy) 37 degrees just once. Brrrrrr.
We wanted to find out how you’re keeping warm and dry through Jack Frost’s ongoing onslaught. So this week’s “YouSpeak” asks: What’s your most important piece of winter survival gear?
“YouSpeak” typically appears on Mondays. If you have a suggestion for a topic, leave it in the Comment section below.
