With the unofficial start of summer, we take a last look back at the 2014–2015 school year. We dipped into the roughly 200 “Close-Ups” that appeared on BU Today and put together a slideshow capturing some of the year’s highlights. We begin with Move-in last August and end with BU’s 142nd Commencement on May 17.
Among the events: the funeral procession of Thomas Menino (Hon.’01), former Boston mayor and BU professor; a campus vigil and “die-in” in response to the fatal shooting of Michael Brown by police in Missouri; the men’s hockey team’s sweep of the Beanpot and Hockey East regular season and tournament titles, and trip to the NCAA Frozen Four; and this winter’s record snowfall, which shut down the campus five times from the end of January to the end of February.
Take a look.
