Points of Departure: Always on the Same Page
Sarah Rockowitz (CAS’14) and Mary Froehlich (CAS’14)
Best friends Sarah Rockowitz (CAS’14) and Mary Froehlich (CAS’14) first met during daily visits to Chemistry 101 office hours—or rather, office hours that they created for themselves. It wasn’t long before the two had become exclusive dinner companions and a nearly unbeatable Taboo team.
Rockowitz’s and Froehlich’s garrulous natures eventually won over their chemistry teaching fellow, and the two went on to build long-lasting friendships with just about every BU staff member they met during their study and hang-out sessions, whether it was the night janitor at the Metcalf Science Center or the pasta chef at 100 Bay State Road. But despite the many friendships they’ve made during their years at BU, at the end of the day, “it always just boils down to the two of us,” says Rockowitz.
“We let people join in for a little bit of our friendship,” says Froehlich. “But they don’t get to stay for long.”
