Go for a Run, Stay for a Party
Patagonia Boston Tuesday Night Run Club celebrates last spring run
Runners are a solitary species—they typically lace up and hit the trails alone.
But occasionally they can be coaxed to run in herds, as in Patagonia Boston’s Tuesday Night Run Club. The store invites runners of all skill levels to swing by its 346 Newbury Street location around 6:30 p.m. tonight, June 11, to join the one and a half-, three-, or five-mile groups that trace a path along the Esplanade. A running coach from sports performance group ViVe LLC will lead the session.
To mark its last official spring run, Patagonia Boston is hosting a celebration, complete with Ben & Jerry’s ice cream, beer from Pretty Things Beer & Ale Project, and the music of Dan Blakeslee and the Calabash Club—all free for runners. But get there early: space is limited to the first 50 people.
The club will continue informally for the rest of the summer. Runners are encouraged to meet outside Patagonia Boston every Tuesday at 6:30 p.m.
To get to Patagonia Boston by public transportation, take the MBTA Green Line B or C trolley to the Hynes Convention Center stop, exit onto Massachusetts Avenue, and take a right onto Newbury Street. The store is half a block down on the right.
