Service Recognition Honors
BU employees will be honored for 10 or 25 years of service to BU

Boston University will host its annual Service Recognition events next month, honoring employees who have completed 10 or 25 years of service, as well as those who are retiring from the University. A luncheon will be held on Friday, March 19, for those who have reached the 10-year point, and there will be a dinner for 25-year honorees and retirees on Monday, March 22. Both events take place in Metcalf Hall at the George Sherman Union.
Invitations will go out in February. Any eligible employee who is planning to retire this year, but has not notified his or her dean or vice president may call Josephine Tompkins, an employee relations representative in the Office of Human Resources, at 617-353-4485 by March 1 to be included in this year’s program. If you plan to retire this year and wish to be recognized at the Service Recognition Dinner, you must be at least 55 years of age and have completed at least 10 years of service by June 30, 2010.
If you have any questions regarding service eligibility or questions about the events, contact your employee relations representative or Josephine Tompkins in the Office of Human Resources.
