Teddy Bears on Parade, Again
Fifth annual Teddy Bear Toss at tonight’s men’s ice hockey game

When the Terriers take on (read: crush) the RPI Engineers tonight, hockey pucks and skates won’t be the only things hitting the ice. The Student Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) is hosting its fifth annual Teddy Bear Toss, to benefit the Home for Little Wanderers.
Fans may bring new stuffed animals to throw onto the ice at second intermission. Each year, SAAC collects more than 1,000 stuffed animals for the Massachusetts nonprofit child and family service agency. Teddy bears will also be sold at the game for $5, but supplies are limited, so bringing your own is encouraged.
“We are happy to be hosting the fifth annual Teddy Bear Toss to support SAAC and the Home for Little Wanderers,” says head coach Jack Parker (SMG’68, Hon.’97). “It’s a great promotion for our fans that benefits the community, as well.”
The hockey game against Rensselaer is on Friday, December 11, at 7 p.m., at Agganis Arena. For tickets, register here. The men’s ice hockey schedule is available here.
