Last year, recent grad Billy Hubbard (CAS’08) led a dual life. By day, he was a physics and math major working with nanomaterials. By night, he was — and still is — the lead singer and guitarist of rock band Forest Henderson. The band, whose current lineup also includes guitarist and vocalist Matt Ott, bassist Chris Reckert, and drummer Skye Mazuroski, has been playing the local Boston scene since 2006 at venues ranging from the Middle East to BU Central. They also served as the house band at BU’s summer freshman orientation sessions.
Stay tuned every Thursday for the BU Today Sessions, shot on location at 808 Commonwealth Ave., and featuring performances by musicians, bands, and songwriters from the BU community. Click here to watch other BU Bands perform.
Check out Forest Henderson’s next show, at O’Brien’s, 3 Harvard Ave., Allston, on Friday, December 5, at 9 p.m. The group’s debut EP, “You’re Out of the Band!” can be purchased at shows and online.
