Delays expected starting Wednesday
Back Street will be closed until Wednesday, September 10. According to Boston’s Water and Sewer Department, contractor D’Allessandro will be replacing two fire hydrants behind the School of Law and Mugar Memorial Library. Access for shipping and receiving will be open.
Beginning on Wednesday, September 10, water main work will be under way on University Road. The work, taking place from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m., is expected to last one week. University Road will be closed at the Storrow Drive entrance; the entrance to Storrow Drive from University Road will be open. Major delays can be expected, and alternate routes should be considered.
