A Million Little Pieces Author Reads on Wednesday
Tickets to see James Frey at the Coolidge: $5

In 2003, James Frey was the author of one of the year’s best-selling memoirs, A Million Little Pieces. In 2005, Oprah Winfrey selected the gripping tale of his struggle with addiction and rehab for her monthly book club. But in 2006, Frey was discredited as a liar and a fraud when investigators at the Web site The Smoking Gun alleged that he faked large portions of his story to sell the book.
Now, Frey is back on the literary scene with his new novel, Bright Shiny Morning — reviewed cryptically but positively in the New York Times — and he’s reading at the Coolidge Corner Theatre tonight. Tickets are $5 and will sell out. He’ll be signing books across the street at Brookline Booksmith after the event.
James Frey will read from his new novel on Wednesday, May 28, at 6 p.m. at the Coolidge Corner Theatre, 290 Harvard St., Brookline, and sign books at Brookline Booksmith, 279 Harvard St. For tickets, call 617-566-6660 or e-mail events@brooklinebooksmith.com.
