Fun Fact

Each year Boston University honors those employees who have completed 10 or 25 years of service as well as those employees who are retiring from the University.  This year there will be a a dinner for 25-year honorees and retirees on Wednesday, March 15, and a luncheon for the 10-year honorees on Tuesday, March 21. Both events will be held in Metcalf Hall at the George Sherman Union.

Invitations will be mailed in February to those employees who have completed 10 or 25 years of service by June 30, 2006, and those employees who have announced their plans to retire from the University.

Any eligible employee who is planning to retire this year, but who has not notified his/her dean or vice president, may call Josephine Tompkins, Employee Relations Representative in the Office of Human Resources at 617-353-4485, no later than Friday, February 17 to be included in this year’s program.  If you are planning to retire this year and wish to be recognized as a retiree at this year’s Service Recognition Dinner, you must be at least 55 years of age and have completed at least 10 years of service by June 30, 2006.

If you have any questions regarding your service eligibility or any other questions regarding these Service Recognition events, please contact your Employee Relations Representative or Josephine Tompkins in the Office of Human Resources.
